Home

I shut my eyes
And settle in
Familiar creaks and sighs
From the house within
The distant night guard's rattle
A car driving its owner to bed
The muted rustle of pigeons
Perched precariously
On the ledge
At the edge
Of my senses.
I'm home again.

  1. Very visual and you rhyme which not most people do.
Should ask you to one of the poetry addas when they happen.

  3. Lovely, languid reading, AD. I loved the wistfulness in most of the pieces. And absolutely lovedddd 'Home'.
I wish I had the courage to commit to a blog. Maybe someday. Love Pia

  6. ‎Jim Morrison...........don't know why this reminded me of him. Maybe sounded a little spaced out or relaxed. But nice!
